Chlorhexidine gluconate, glycerol, peppermint flavour.
Mode of Action
Chlorhexidine has a non- specific mode of actionin that it elecroscopically binds to the negatively charged surface of bacteria, disrupting osmotic regulation of the bacteria causing membrane permeability and release of cell contents.
Chlorhexidine has been demonstrated to bind to the dental pellicle and reduce binding of plaque. It also inhibits bacteria within existing plaque, helping to prevent develpment of further plaque. Glycerol is included as a lubricant to help improve the action of dental equipment during procedures such as scaling and floating.
Directions for Use: Shake well before use.
