DIRECTIONS
An average rate of supplementation is 200 - 250mg elemental copper per adult cow per day. This will vary depending on other sources of copper and types of supplmental feeds. Compound feed and palm kernal meal can contain significant levels of copper. Advice from your veterinarian should be sought before supplementing with copper.
To treat 1 cow at a level of 250mg copper per head per day, dissolve 200grams copper sulphate powder in 1 litre of warm water and give 5mls of solution per day.
1 litre of solution will treat 200 cows per day.
Foot Rot
Mix 1kg Copper Sulphate Pentahydrate per 20L of water into a footbath and allow animals to stand-in solution for at least 5 minutes.
